Hi, my name is Yazlyn Saenz. I’m 24 years old and from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I grew up training at Applause Studios and have been involved in the studio dance industry for over 20 years. I was a member of the dance team at Moore High School from 2015–2019 before continuing my dance career at University of Central Oklahoma beginning in 2019.
I later went on to dance professionally in the NBA as a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder dance team from 2022–2025, where I was part of a playoff championship run. I am currently training with the Abstrakt Mindz program in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to continue growing as a dancer and performer.
I am experienced in and teach contemporary, hip-hop, jazz funk, heels, and pom. I currently teach at 8 Count Studio and Race Dance Collective. In addition to teaching and performing, I also work with Dance Team Union as a staff member and instructor.
